If I focus on the dark.
My mind will follow.

2006 musings.

2006 was quite exciting. Where shall I begin...lets just say I'm a very lucky bastard. Well, actually my mother and father were married, but I've always liked that word...has the perfect amount of "BITE" to it.

Anyway, the brothers Alex and Aaron continue to be the best of friends, and watching them together warms my entire being ...I often watch them sleeping, wishing I could be my own son, so that I could play with them in their beautiful world and time. The sixth video installment of their lives is HERE...by far my favorite so far. On a darker note, I used to think suicide was unthinkable, but if I ever lost either of them ...I'm sure I'd want to quickly join them...even if infinite stillness was the only thing there to meet me.

My wife Amy started working in 2006, and because of this, we were able to afford the LA real estate market. We got a house and moved in on 6/6/6. After a blitzkrieg of painting and remodeling...it's a very happy home.

My masks got a few gallery shows in 2006. Some celebrities have my masks now, chief among them is the author Neil Gaiman, and Brad Roberts of the Crash Test Dummies. I finally have a promo on youtube for the masks, many more to come.

I started painting again towards the end of 2006...it seems that art is a variety of cups inside my brain...each filling with various liquids at an undeterminable rate and order. Additionally I wrote a lot of stories in 2006...some got digitally published on pod casts.

Board games went down in flames this year. I sent GIZA to a place I was sure would accept it, especially due to the play testing help of game-guru and best friend Paul Grasshoff, art-guru and best friend Eric Lutes, and especially to editing-guru and best friend Tom DiGiurco...who made the product really shine thanks to their help. I felt a sting of guilt at not suceeding...due to their tremendous help on this endeavor. Someday hopefully. So far my son Alex is the biggest fan, as he likes to play with the magnets...plus, all kids like pyramids!

I also designed a calendar in 2006...yeah, I know...WHY? Well, thanks to a great friend Taylor Johns, for teaching me photoshop - I had an endless canvas to create upon.

Voiceover work shined a bit in 2006. I had a brush with one of the best talent agencies on the planet ...actually got 2 jobs, but then things got stark.

My long-lost sister Cheri Wagner re-emerged this year. It was great to finally see her. Her late husband Jack Wagner committed suicide years ago...and she never seemed to fully recover, not that I could if our situations were reversed...but finally, after a decade of darkness, her impish laughter has returned, along with her beautiful smile.

Pals Tom and Folk Hero and I buried treasure on Catalina Island...that was a GREAT adventure! Furthermore in December, I met up with a very old and dear friend Grant Thomas, who had a little girl that got along great with Alex.

My brother Donald purchased a Yacht, we named it "Glasskite." It is a marvel of perfection and engineering. An old German wizard built it, and he put more than blood and sweat into it. You can see vids of our first outing here. Hopefully this will be the official start of our sea-faring pirate wishes...as Donald is now a full-fledged sailor supreme! Congrats Bro.

Adieu for now..
